The Ranch Cabin
A ranch cabin is an Amish built modular cabin that offers you floor plan options starting at 22’x30′ and going as large as 30’x56′. While the ranch cabins are single-story cabins, they still offer you a very aesthetically pleasing exterior. With the steep pitch roof and a large porch, these cabins are not your ordinary weekend getaway cabins. Instead, they are the perfect retirement home or single-family residence.
Zook’s ranch cabins are built to the highest quality, so you can be sure this log cabin will last a lifetime!
Why a Ranch Cabin?
The ranch-style cabin was built and designed with the kitchen and living area at the forefront of our minds. While the ranch-style cabin doesn’t have a loft or second floor, it does have an expansive great room that combines the kitchen and living area into one room. This layout makes hosting friends and family at your beautiful log cabin home, a breeze. These modular ranch-style cabins offer you a large amount of available living space at the lowest possible cost. The ranch-style log cabin basically has a full first-floor layout like all of our models, but its uniqueness is the steep pitch roof that allows for additional storage in the attic.

Choose Your Porch Style
Full-Length Porch
These log cabins all come with a porch that runs the length of the log cabin. This porch has a standard porch width of 6′ which will give you plenty of room to set outdoor furniture on the porch. When you choose a log cabin with a full-length porch you get the optimal log cabin experience. After all, what is a log cabin that won’t let you enjoy the outdoors?
Gable Porch
The Gable porch log cabins are a perfect way to have any guest enter your home. While big and bold are probably the first words that might come to mind for you, inviting should soon follow. The Gable porch gives your log cabin a nice entryway while not taking away from any of the interior space.
End Porch
The End porch log cabins come with a gently sloping roof that makes the cabin feel smaller. However, with floor plans as big as 30×56, these cabins feature an open great room that includes the living room and kitchen area. With the porch on the end of the cabin, it gives you the opportunity to utilize the full width of the cabin while still having a nice porch.
Corner Porch
The Corner porch gives your log cabin a nice entryway while not being quite as prominent as some of the other porches. While a corner porch can definitely be used as a place to sit watching the world go by, it is more often used as a place for nice decorations. The corner porch log cabins pair nicely with a backyard patio or deck where more people can gather together.
