Who We Are
In 2006, the Zook family had a dream to provide their customers with modular log cabins, and they founded Zook Cabins to improve their customers’ experience in log cabin living. Many people felt that building a log cabin was time-consuming, stressful, and expensive, so the Zook family’s goal was to make it as easy and efficient as possible for their customers to own their log cabin! Since that time, they have built and delivered many modular log cabins to customers all over the country! With quality core values, stellar customer service, and a valued reputation, this Amish cabin builder is the perfect place to look if you are searching for your dream log cabin!

Meeting new people and building relationships. Helping clients build a cabin or home of their dreams is rewarding.
Favorite things I do personally?
So many I can’t list them all, just to mention a few…. Spending time with family is most definitely at the top of the list. Travelling adventures with my wife & best friend, Susan. Teaching my sons how to fish. Going on daddy/daughter dates. I’m a triathlete, I spend a lot of time in the pool, riding my bike out on the open roads, and running on trails or roads through the farmland in Lancaster County.

What I love most about my job?
What I love most about my job is meeting new people and building meaningful relationships. Every client has a unique vision, and it’s rewarding to help bring those dreams to life. Whether it’s helping someone achieve their lifelong dream of owning a cabin or working with resort owners to create beautiful destinations where families and friends can make lasting memories, being part of that journey is something I really enjoy. At the end of the day, seeing people enjoy our cabins, connect with loved ones, and create memories that last a lifetime is what makes this work so fulfilling.
Favorite things I do personally?
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family or enjoying the outdoors. Hunting and fishing have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember, and some of my best childhood memories were made alongside my dad and brothers. Today, I get to pass those traditions on to my 7-year-old son. Watching him develop the same passion for the outdoors and sharing those experiences together is something I really love. Whether we’re in a tree stand, on the water, sitting around a bonfire with family and friends, or listening to good country music under the stars, those are the moments I enjoy most. They’re the memories that make life special.

What I love most about my job?
What truly fuels my passion for what I do is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with people. I find genuine fulfillment in connecting with clients, understanding their needs, and guiding them through the exciting journey of purchasing park model homes and accessory dwelling units (ADUs). Whether it’s a first-time buyer or someone expanding their property, I take pride in creating a smooth, transparent, and enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Every transaction is more than just business—it’s a chance to foster trust, provide value, and ensure that every party walks away feeling confident and satisfied. I believe in a win-win approach, where success is measured not just by the outcome, but by how we get there together.
I also thrive in a team-oriented environment. Being surrounded by dedicated professionals who share a commitment to excellence enhances everything we do. We support each other, collaborate seamlessly, and are united by a common goal: delivering outstanding service that makes a lasting impact.
Favorite things I do personally?
Outside of work, my life is centered around the things—and people—that bring me joy and purpose. I love spending quality time with my wife and daughter, making the most of family moments that keep me grounded and inspired.
I’m an avid golfer and enjoy the balance of focus and relaxation the game offers. Music is another passion of mine—whether listening or playing, it’s a creative outlet that’s always been close to my heart.
Giving back to the community is also a major part of who I am. I actively lead and serve on multiple committees dedicated to organizing charity fundraising events. It’s important to me to contribute meaningfully and help create positive change where it’s needed most.
Finally, I’m a lifelong learner. I love to read and am always exploring new ideas, perspectives, and skills. Whether it’s a new book, a podcast, or a great conversation, I believe that curiosity and continuous growth are key to both personal and professional fulfillment.

Favorite things I do personally?
When I’m done being productive (say, on the seventh day), my favorite thing to do is Nothing. Winnie the Pooh once asked, “How do you do Nothing?” Christopher Robin replied “Well, it’s when people call out at you just as you’re going off to do it, ‘What are you going to do?’ and you say, ‘Oh, Nothing,’ and then you go and do it. It means just going along, listening to all the things you can’t hear, and not bothering.”

I am grateful to be an integral part of a professional and talented teamwho come together with a common vision to design and develop beautiful, functional structures that will enhance customer’s lives and fulfill their personal dreams. I am able to apply my artistic creativity, three-dimensional thinking and architectural experience on a daily basis to compose engaging market plans and detailed construction documents from which the structures will be built. There is a constant excitement during the entire process while organizing and assembling the structure in my mind and on paper, knowing that these amazing dwellings will captivate generations.
Favorite things I do personally?
Being predominantly right-brained, I enjoy music, art and nature. I have been a drummer since I was a teenager, playing with church worship teams and jamming at home to my favorite tunes. I attend car shows to gaze at the artistic craftsmanship displayed in and on street rods, muscle cars and big trucks. My family and I illuminate our house every Christmas season with lights and decorations to make the season bright. I also enjoy photography and videography, mostly of nature, including wild animals, sunrises, sunsets, incoming thunderstorms and various things under a microscope. With all that said, my favorite moments are snuggling with my family and taking a ride through the countryside with our dog by my side.
